Sharing is a very good concept that allows us show we care. So when we give to family, friends and even strangers, it does something to our heart. These acts, no matter how small they are, means we care about these people and want to meet their needs.

Infact, there is a song in cocomelon that speaks on the importance of sharing. It goes something like this, “Sharing makes us all happy, sharing is caring, oh sharing is fun. When we all share together it’s good for everyone… ” I like the song very much that it’s a personal fave. But… Human wants are insatiable and so it is impossible for you to meet them all, trying to do so will simply be detrimental to you. And this is what this post is about.

I will be sharing 7 important things you shouldn’t share with anyone even if it makes you look or feel like a bad person.

1. Lipgloss/ Lipstick
Ever been in a situation where you needed to apply Lipgloss but had none so you asked someone?
This is a very relatable scenario for females but I am sure it also is for some men. If you ever need a Lipgloss that isn’t yours, apply it to the tip of a neat finger and then to your lips. Never apply directly. Also, if you have a Lipgloss and finds someone in need, don’t hesitate to share. However, ensure the person follows the aforementioned method to avoid contracting or spreading bacteria or viruses like herpes.

2. Deodorant Rollon
This seems very obvious, but who made me the judge? Anybody can be caught in a desperate situation where they need someone else’s belonging, but sharing a rollon shouldn’t be one of them.
You can use people’s body sprays and perfumes, but not a roll on. The underarm can be a breeding place for germs and bacteria so to avoid contracting them, stay away from people’s rollons.
Thankfully, rollons are quite small and can fit into a bag, get one and carry them around with you. Honestly, there’s no valid reason for sharing a roll on not even with family or friends.

3. Handkerchiefs
This is the highest of the nos. Do not use a person’s handkerchiefs especially one that has been used. If you are one of those free spirited people that have no problems using other people’s belongings, please, erase handkerchiefs from the list.
It’s gross to share handkerchiefs especially used ones, although a person’s sweat is usually germ free, but it could have been in contact with germs on the person’s face or wherever. Now, imagine dabbing someone else’s germs on your face.
Always have a neat handkerchief with you when stepping out to avoid using someone else’s.

4. Earpiece / Earplugs
Some people do not bother to clean their ears properly and when you look at the ear hole, you see brown wax at the entrance saying, “hullo”. (Yes, the ears shouldn’t be cleaned with cotton buds, but the entrance should be wiped off with the tip of a neat wet cloth).
I have seen some pretty clogged sets of earpiece, brown with earwax and interestingly, people like this are always cheerful lenders, lol.
Whatever the urgency, do not borrow or share earpieces even clean ones as they can transmit infections to you and others.
If you are out without an earpiece, practice doing what you want without using one.

5. Shaving Stick
Sharing of Shaving stick is very popular among family, roommates, partners, the list is endless. However, this is a very wrong practice because no matter your relationship with a person, you are individual persons. Protect yourself and others from infections by personalising your shaving stick.
You could get a pack for cheaper price and keep spare ones to give to ready lenders.
Shaving sticks should be very intimate objects, imagine the places it visits. Let me stop there, you get the picture? lol.

6. Hair accessories

This is a very difficult one, but do not share hair accessories as this can cause dandruff and other hair problems for you and others, including with family members and friends. Get your own personalised accessories, or properly wash and clean them before use.
Also make it a habit to go to the salon with your own accessories: clippers, combs etc.

7. Cutlery
I know several people do not have a problem with using people’s used cutlery and you are probably one of them, but this is not a very good decision for you.
Asides from how super gross it is to use another person’s cutlery, you can never be too certain of what people carry in their mouths.
Sharing used cutlery can be romantic, but please, be sure of the person’s hygiene and anything more than one person, is a lot.

Conclusion
If you’ve noticed, the objects I mentioned are very common and the information you probably already know but take this as a cue to start practicing them if you haven’t been doing so.
