Writing
I have been a member of Medium for just over two years.
I began writing stories here shortly after I joined.
I was ecstatic to have been told about Medium, and still feel that way.
I have been following people I find interesting, in my field or those I can learn from. I love my Medium community.
The one thing I hadn’t done, until this week, was to subscribe to someone’s stories. It wasn’t personal, it was all about me. Or rather, my email inbox.
I have struggled for years to keep up with my inbox. During the past year, I have gotten to a place where my inbox doesn’t control me. I don’t cringe when I log in. I don’t look at dozens of unopened emails and hundreds of emails I don’t know what to do with.
Those days are gone.
After two years of being on Medium, I have my favorites. One is someone who I learn from through every story she publishes. She is a writer. She even offers courses to help those who want to become better writers.
Then she subscribed to receive my stories.
