When I started my journey as a writer on Medium, I compared Medium to Instagram. When I downloaded Instagram and activated my account, many people shared a thought that was, “follow me, and I will follow you.” I applied the same strategy on Medium and shared this thought with Naomi Misora, but after getting his answer, I came to know that Medium and Instagram are different.
He said, “I don’t do these things. If your content resonates with me, then you can count me as your follower”. I am sharing this thing with you all because I don’t want this to become a bad memory for me. After all, he taught me an important lesson. If you want an audience, then improve the quality of your content and don’t waste your time in making different strategies.
Because of this, no, today, I follow those people who write something heartfelt; I enjoy their content, not because they are following me, so I have to follow them. I am far apart from this thought today.
I know I have a very small audience, but I thought they would follow me because of my content, and my words may resonate with them. I am saying thank you, Naomi Misora, with my whole heart. This incident made me feel whenever you feel “no,” then say it freely. Sometimes, your “no” works as well. Again, thank you so much.
