So you sit to meditate, invoking your favorite name for God or Goddess. You are very clear in your mind as to what you need. It might be money, or love, or health, or a job. Whatever today’s flavor may be, you are adept at focusing your will power on it.
But what if you did it differently today? Instead of telling God or Goddess what you need, what if you just listened?
After all, which of you has more information? Which of you is more qualified to dictate terms?
And which of you stands to benefit more from humbly listening for guidance?
Someone once said that prayer is talking to God, while meditation is listening to the answer. It would be a shame to forget that.
