What to do if the fear of universal evaluation does not allow you to move in the chosen direction?
In the last part of this topic, we determined what exactly we are afraid of when we talk about the fear of evaluation. Today I propose to finally define a clear plan of action for everyone who finds themselves in a vicious circle called “I’m afraid of being judged and don’t do anything.”
Of course, fear of evaluation is a normal thing that is better to come to terms with than to fight. It’s easier, by the way. And in this case, I recommend that you take the easy path. Why? Because the very fact of struggle puts you in a state of stress and tension. How do we usually feel in this state? That’s right, not really!
Another reason why I do not recommend that you fight your fear of universal condemnation is distancing yourself from your “I”. After all, your fear, which arises in situations where you are about to declare yourself, says something. It is trying to signal that you:
- Unconfident;
- You take the words of your mother too close to heart, who said that “everything is bought and paid for”;
- You are not confident in the quality of your product and are already anticipating the criticism that will fall on you…
