I. Ask

  • In the past, when I lacked clarity, what did that experience teach me?
  • What is the opportunity here for me?
  • Who could help? 1

II. Possibilities

What you want (answers, now) may be superseded by what you need (time, preparation, a redirection).

Your lack of clarity is Divinely designed. A gift, offering you a chance to surrender faithfully, and trust.

Perhaps, to practice patience with yourself, the natural unfolding of life, even elusive answers.

Perhaps, your lack of clarity is an invitation to:

  • Recommit — to continue, undistracted, your process, your devotion.
  • Reorient — to shift your attention to what you have, rather than what’s missing.
  • Renew — to explore, create, connect with others.
  • Refresh — to pause, rest, be available to what may serendipitously arrive for you.

Perhaps, your lack of clarity is meant to illuminate something unrelated or unexpected for you. Even, bestow a lesson, as a prerequisite to clarity.

Perhaps, your lack of clarity is meant to save you. You may be unaware what you are asking for. The answer you seek may be intentionally veiled for your protection.

III. Practices to Invite Clarity

Gratitude

Before contemplating these questions, consider expressing gratitude for this opportunity. Gratitude unconditioned on the receipt of clarity.

After contemplation, return to gratitude.

Silence, Solitude, Stillness

To invite clarity, identify where you may contemplate these questions.

A place without distraction, and where you are undistractable.

Then, be still.

Daily Contemplation

Contemplate these questions daily, so you may perceive what is meant for you. 2
